A Christian Mom

I believe that I can speak for most Christian Moms. We love our children unconditionally. We pray for them daily. And our heart's desire is for them to know true happiness. As a Christian Mom myself, from the time our children were born, I stood upon God's promise: " That if we raise our children up in the way that they should go, when they are older they will not depart." Our children are now 21 and 19. When they were born we dedicated them to the Lord and taught them about God and His Son(their Savior) Jesus Christ and how much they were loved, not only by us but loved even more by their Heavenly Daddy. We taught them that God knew them even before we did. He knew them before they were conceived and born into this world. To this very day we still teach our children about God and what His Word has to say about them and life in general.

Believe me when I say; "Our children have taught us a few things about life as well." We have not been perfect parents, we have made our share of mistakes, and our children have made their share of mistakes. But through it all God has been so very gracious, merciful, patient and longsuffering toward us, not to mention so very faithful to us.

I really want to encourage Moms out there. It doesn't matter how old you are or how old your children are it is never to late to be a teacher and a witness in sharing with them what God's Word has to say about them. It is never to late to tell your children or even remind them that God's plans for them are good not to harm them but to give them a hope and a future.

You might be thinking that it is to late to train them up now because they are already older. It is never to late to teach your children and tell them about Jesus and His love for them. It is never to late to humbly begin again. What is older anyways? It could be 70 years old for all we know. If your children are not yet 70 or maybe they are older than that, even still it is never to late to share with them that God's plans for them are good and tell them how much He loves them. If you are still alive then what are you waiting for? Just do it. Tell them. It is the greatest gift that you can ever give your children this Mother's day.

When we as Mothers realize God's goodness toward us we can begin to walk in His love and goodness and share that with our children. We can teach our children that God's goodness and love is for them as well.

A good prayer for Christian Moms to pray for their children is that their children will begin to know God's love and goodness toward them so that they can begin to experience His goodness in their lives.

When we know the heart of our Heavenly Father toward us, we will begin to experience His heart in our lives. Selah....
