One does well if he remembers these words of Christ for he will not be lead astray by the false christs and the false prophets, who will no doubt show great signs and wonders; insomuch that if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Be as the wise Berean and search the scriptures for your self so that you will know the truth. Don't lean only upon the teachings of man and what a so-called wise teacher might have to say. Learn for yourself, study the Word of God for your own good so that you will be prepared and know how to answer the one who has a question about the end time and the return of Christ Jesus. Be not mocked such as the ones who claim to be prophets and speak of the end of the world, the judgment of God and the day of Christ return. They call themselves ministers of the Word but yet they know not the Word. They are the ones who give true Bible believing Christians a bad name. Do not judge all Christians because of one looney person who considers himself a scholar when it comes to the Word of God and an end time prophet. Back-up everything with scripture and know the truth, for the truth will not lead astray and will always lead to Jesus the Word and what Jesus said..
Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. But shun profane and vain babblings; for they will increase unto more ungodliness. (2 Timothy 2:15-16)

Matthew 24:22 (Also in Mark 13) “If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive, but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened. 23 At that time if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Messiah!’ or, ‘There he is!’ do not believe it. 24 For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. 25 See, I have told you ahead of time.
There is both scary and comfort in this passage. That "no one would survive"...if, part, even the elect used to make we wonder how bad it was going to get and could I withstand it. However the verse 24 tells me not to worry, saying ...deceive, IF POSSIBLE, even the elect. That tells me the Holy Spirit will protect us from deception even by the most witty false prophet, and this current guy is very, very convincing if you only have a shallow understanding of Scripture.
It is very important we stay in that Good Book more and more in the time ahead. Frankly, I think time is growing short and I see most people younger than I have little real knowledge of the Bible.

Amen Larry i understand what you are saying. It is truly sad those who attend church and consider themselves christian but yet have very little understanding of God's Word. Hopefully they will be stirred to search the scriptures for themselves and find truth before they are decieved and it becomes to late for them.
