A Prison of Harsh Words

Harsh words may come from another man's tongue

How will you respond what must be done

Do you believe the lie and let it have it's way
Or do you believe the truth and listen to what God has to say

Don't live your life inside a prison of harsh words

Be rescued from the lies that you have heard
Choose the Truth and you will see
That this cage of harsh words was only to deceive

Tamela,

Ah, I see the Muse has crossed country and taken up residence with you. Are these new poems you are doing? Very nice.

I don't know how it works with you. I get on poetry binges. I will go a good while sometimes and not write a single poem and then, poof, suddenly i can't stop.

I hope you have some more.

Hey Larry,

The poems I have posted are poems written a long time ago. I know what you mean about getting on a poem binge. It takes awhile for me also but when I get going it is hard to stop.. I think it has been at least 2 or 3 years since I have written a poem, I have to be really inspired. Of course as you can see my poems usually rhyme, I am a rhyme time poet most of the time lol! I do have a few that don't ryhme. One of my better rhyme time poems titled "The Birth of a Warrior" was actually published in a book, I will post that one soon. I wrote it at a time that we were struggling in our lives, thus the inspiration I suppose. I have found that when I write poems it is usually at a time in my life of struggle or great joy. Usually one of the extremes.

Tammy :)
